Pool and Patio Decor Ideas

Our outdoor seating area featuring seating and lounge chairs by Article and Firetable by Yardbird.

The weather is warming up and we are looking forward to finally entertaining outside.

Here are some of our favorite outdoor finds:

Since daytime temperatures can be scorchers, we tend to entertain in the evening. Floating lights from Loftek give a festive glow. We use the round ones in the pool and the square ones as side tables.

We highly recommend the patio furniture and lighting from Article. Article has a direct to consumer model making their furniture affordable and their direct access to high quality designers and manufacturers makes their furniture beautiful. We also appreciate their relatively quick shipping on their products compared to other companies (I’m looking at you West Elm).

A stock tank plunge pool sunk in a deck at dusk with Loftek glowing orbs and lots of twinkling lights all around.

We did a lot of research before we purchased a fire table. Our table from Yardbird checked all the boxes — good price, quick shipping, tall enough to use as a table, wind guard and more.

Don’t forget to order covers for your furniture and fire table for when those summer days come to an end.

Jonathan Adler beach towels on Article lounge chairs and end table with Tossware glasses filled with Prosecco.

A friend sent us a gift certificate for plastic drinkware from Tossware — they have tumblers, wine glasses, champagne glasses and more in fun colors, patterns and different sizes. You can also customize the glasses if you want to commemorate an occasion like a graduation or just because you want your initials on something.

Pool towels from Jonathan Adler are a nice design touch. Also designed by Jonathan Adler but available from Ruggable is this fun doormat. We like that it is washable.

Tiki Bar, Stools, ukulele, Tiki glasses

This Tiki Bar, stools, tiki glasses and wall decor were all found at local Sacramento vintage stores.

We found our vintage tiki bar from Back Corner Mid Century in Roseville and the bar stools from Sactownpickers — a vendor within Scout Living. See our article about local mid century shops which are always a good source of furniture and accessories.

And it wouldn’t be an outdoor party without mosquitoes. This year we are going to give this one a try.
