This 1972 Mansard-roofed, mid century modern home had a few challenges when we took the listing. We did a lot to get it sold. Does your agent work this hard for you?
When I received the referral, the house had already been on and off the market for more than 250 days. Working with the client, we decided to remove it from the market and make some changes. Working with our great landscaper, we pruned back the overgrown trees, hedges and flowers. Working with our recommended roofer, the homeowner updated the flat roof by giving it a fresh silicone coating and extending the warranty to 20 years.
Staging touches from our own collection included this dining table, Eames dining chairs and Blenko glass. We also added wall sculptures and mid century themed art.
We augmented the staging with our own midcentury furniture including Eames dining chairs, Blenko glass and mid century themed art. I door-knocked the entire neighborhood and handed out open house invitations to to more than 200 homes. We held a dozen open houses. We re-photographed the house and created drone video to feature the Lake Greenhaven location.
We created a custom website featuring the home’s unique features. Even in this buyers’ market we ended up selling the home to some very happy buyers.
